ODM party leader Raila Odinga on Friday responded to critics who have in the past referred to him as a witch doctor.
Speaking in Nyatike, Migori County during the homecoming party for Nyatike MP Tom Odege, Raila told Kenyans to shun politicians who use abusive language against their opponents.
“I am not a witch doctor and I have never been one. Whether you abuse Raila using derogatory words or not, it will add no value to your political discourse,” he remarked.
He added that witch doctors were there in society and that no one had been denied the chance to visit them. “What is the farce about it?” he posed.

The ODM boss further stated that he was a doctor who was trying to heal what has been ailing this country together with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The opposition leader added that he won’t be intimidated by anyone neither will he be deterred in his efforts to fight corruption.
“When God is with us who can be against us? We will deal with corruption without fear or favour. We will not be cowed, ” he divulged.
He explained that while some politicians were traversing the country campaigning for 2022, he and President Kenyatta were working to make Kenya a better country.
He promised Kenyans that by the end of the handshake process with the president, Kenyans will have something to rejoice about.
“You cannot resist change. If you try it will overwhelm you. An idea whose time has come cannot be stopped,” the ODM party leader affirmed.
