Mike Tyson Is Opening A Fancy 300-Acre Cannabis/bhang Resort

What substance has been shown to mitigate pain, potentially contribute to the healing of dozens of illnesses, reduce anxiety and stress, and is responsible for 0 deaths in more than 3,000 years? You guessed it: cannabis. As the herb contains medicinal properties, former professional boxer Mike Tyson intends to build a luxurious 400-acre resort that is cannabis-centric.

According to GQ Magazine, the Tyson Ranch will complement Tyson’s cannabis company Tyson Holistic Holdings. The company was founded in 2016 and sells marijuana strains, edibles, and merchandise. Even though vacationers will not be able to buy marijuana products at the resort, they’ll be allowed to smoke anywhere on the Californian plot.

The Tyson Ranch will include a festival venue, the longest lazy river in the world and also a lavish hotel. The latter is already in the beginning stages of construction.

And as if a luxury cannabis resort is not enough, Tyson also plans to launch Tyson University to teach visitors how to grow cannabis. He hopes that marijuana and hemp enthusiasts leave with the confidence and skillset to begin growing their herb. Finally, Tyson plans to use the ranch for “research purposes” as he becomes even more invested in the industry.

According to Metro, work began on the ranch situated near Desert Hot Springs in 2017. Tyson revealed his vision in an interview with Cannabis Tech Today, saying, “I thought about how much good I could do by helping people with cannabis. It was a no brainer.” Soon, his idea will become a reality.

When he is building his cannabis empire, Tyson hosts the podcast Hotboxin. He recently appeared on Good Morning Britain as a guest, giving a weed-themed goody bag from his ranch to Piers Morgan, that later wrote: “Whatever your side of the debate about marijuana – I view it as less dangerous than alcohol or cigarettes – I’ve never seen a happier, calmer Mike Tyson.”

Yesterday afternoon the Illinois House passed HB 1438 to legalize cannabis for adults 21 and older on a 66 to 47 vote. The bill had already passed the Senate and just needs Gov. Pritzker’s signature to become law. Gov. Pritzker has said he’ll sign the bill, stating: “The state of Illinois just made history, legalizing adult-use cannabis with the most equity-centric approach in the nation. This will have a transformational impact on our state, creating opportunity in the communities that need it most and giving so many a second chance.” “In the interest of equity and criminal justice reform, I look forward to signing this monumental legislation,” Gov. Pritzker tweeted this afternoon. Adults 21 and older can legally hold up to a 30-day supply of cannabis (one ounce), and tourists can legally hold 15 grams. Those with past convictions for possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis can get their records cleared.
