ANC Party leader Hon. Musalia Mudavadi has asked the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) to be proactive in the post COVID-19 Economic Recovery Programmes, especially in offering strategic interventions.
Mr. Mudavadi said this when the President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Mr Richard Ngatia and his team paid him a courtesy call at his office in Nairobi.
The two parties discussed among other things the critical role the Chamber plays in policy formulation in the country particularly on Small Micro and Medium Enterprises ( SMMEs).
Hon. Mudavadi promised to rally MPs on Amani ticket in supporting legislation that enhances business development in the private sector.
He commended the Chamber’s current efforts in engaging with various financial institutions and donor agencies in availing financial support to businesses during this difficult period, at low interest rates.
The Chamber President was accompanied with Mr Kihara Njuguna( Chamber’s Legal Secretary), Mr Sam Omukoko( Chairman of the Banking Committee) and Mr John Shimaka ( Board Director).
