He noted that it has been his lifetime desire to have a professional Soccer team that would take part in top tier competitive league, the Kenya Premier League.
“Since the club’s inception, am proud to point that it has achieved it’s purpose of tapping talent, providing a platform and exposing the talent to higher level. I am motivated to further support the club to ensure that it gets to the highest football tier in Kenya,” he said.
Hon. Kagesi, an ardent Arsenal fan reiterated the need to observe high levels of commitment, discipline and an eager to learn attitude to realize and rip of the fruits in sporting and related activities. This was triggered by the interest of a Portugal based soccer club in Vihiga Sportiff’s offensive Steward Murunga who is soon to travel for trials. He lauded the former Kapseng’ere Secondary School footballer for his commitment and discipline in displaying his skills hence the attention.
The boys are set to reinvigorate their quest to book a slot in the Division 1 tier after finishing position 4 in the last season before the outbreak of Corona virus that led to stoppage of all competitive sports leagues.
