Days after the collection of BBI’s signature exercise was launched, political leaders across the country are supporting the document with a section of them moving around the country to drum support for the initiative.
Tiaty Member of Parliament, William Kamket elected under the KANU umbrella while speaking from Migori on Saturday where his party had gone to wow residents to support BBI, urged residents present to ensure they tender their signatures and brace themselves for a good Kenya once the report gets implemented if it goes past the referendum slater for 2021.
He revealed that he is keen to support a move where the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will be the president and he chooses KANU chair, Gideon Moi to be his running mate.
“I am on the side that you to become the next president of republic of Kenya, that’s my wish, prayer and that also my dream. Luos are th emosr resilient people I have seen in this country. . .
. . . So far we have seen leadership of other communities, as a Kenyan, I would wish to see someone from Luo Nyanza becoming the president of Kenya. Nyinyi ndio mtajua (refering too Gideon) uko juu lakini Ikisemekana kwamba ni Mzee Baba awanie urais, wewe (Gideon Moi) uwe apo karibu, sijui mwingine mimi, najua apo na ni apo, ama mkalie pamoja. . ” Kamket said.
The vocal MP called the area politicians planning to contest in the coming General elections to get ready, register themselves and support BBI as they will serve to have a new Kenya.
His remarks comes days after COTU Secretary General Mr. Francis Atwoli was captured on a video clip stating that the possibility of either Orange Democratic Movement boss Raila Odinga or Gideon Moi succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta once he retires in 2022 is quite high.
