The death of David Too came as a surprise to many Kenyans who knew the ever-energetic officer. Until his death, officer Toi had been working as part of Deputy President William Ruto’s staff.
According to initial reports, Too committed suicide by jumping into a dam that was created from a quarry. There have been suggestions that Toy had been stressed at work and that he was not in the best mental condition by the time he committed suicide.
There were reports that claimed he had been struggling to find a camera from work which belonged to Ruto’s Press Team.
The reports led to a national aproar with sections of Kenyans calling out the Deputy President for being too strict with his workers.
These reports have now been quashed by the family spokesman who is Too’s uncle. During a live interview with a radio citizen, the spokesman ruled out the narrative that their son had been forced to commit suicide as a result of the lost camera.
According to him their son was in the best mental health condition and was not stressed out. He called on the government’s agencies to look into the death of their son since the camera narrative is too shallow to be believed.
The Late David Too will be laid to rest today in an event that Deputy President William Ruto is expected to attend. Here is part of the news report.
