Former Bomet county Governor Isaac Ruto has now for the first time reacted after police officers were deployed to the Baringo county assembly on Thursday as Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) was being debated.
The Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party leader took to his social media account to castigate the happenings in the Baringo county assembly following the deployment of the security forces.
According to the former National Super Alliance (NASA) Principal, the MCAs were in a peaceful manner before they were interrupted by the security forces.
Just before the Speaker declared the results where 30 Baringo MCAs rejected the Bill in comparison to 11 who voted yes, teargas was thrown into the chamber.https://t.co/td1Z8AJmhZ

”A peaceful County Assembly was Teargassed today in BARINGO County; this is the saddest day in our democracy. State power was used to crush democracy in BARINGO. The dark days are back- let’s pray for our country,”said Isaac Ruto.
