Kalonzo declares As the 2022 presidential race begins to take shape, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka says he is ready to face Deputy President William Ruto in next year’s election.

The wiper boss, while speaking in Kitui County, dismissed Ruto’s hustler narrative terming it unrealistic.

He exuded confidence that he will floor Ruto in the race to succeed President Kenyatta. “Defeating William Ruto is my number one priority and I have reasons for it… Defeating you we shall,” said Kalonzo.

2. Former Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti dies in Nairobi Former Imenti Central Member of Parliament Gideon Mwiti is dead.

The former lawmaker succumbed to diabetes at a Nairobi hospital Sunday morning, according to the family.

He was aged 57. Mr. Mwiti is reported to have developed diabetes-complications Saturday night before he was rushed to hospital where he succumbed.

He served as MP from 2013 to 2017 before he retired from active politics to venture into private business.

Musyoka and UDA Chairman, Johnson Muthama, hugged and reconciled their differences months after they had a public confrontation.
The duo met on Saturday, July 24, at a burial ceremony in Mwingi Central, Kitui County. Muthama, speaking in Kamba vernacular, assured the crowd that Kalonzo was his brother who he (Muthama) was open to supporting in 2022 despite being a UDA member.

Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo and Maranda High School Alumni surprised their former principal, 32 years after they sat the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.

Omollo and the group visited the headteacher at his home on Sunday afternoon, July 25.

The lawyer rallied the 1989 class to visit Ezekiel Akunja Rachuonyo, one of their favourite teachers during their secondary school years in Siaya County.

“In the company Of Erstwhile Classmates of Maranda (Class Of 89), we called on our then principal and his wife, Mary Akunja.

5. DCI Arrest Two Suspects in Dutch Tycoon’s Murder, Reveal Wife’s Role in Killing

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested Timothy Omondi Ngoe and Mary Nekesa Ambani in connection with the double murders of Kenyan based Dutch tycoon Herman Rouwenhorst and his guard.

The investigators narrowed in on the two after close to two months of investigation into the murder of the 55-year-old businessman and his guard Evans Bokoro on June 4th.

The investigations have now come full circle after his wife, Riziki Cherono, was arrested as a co-conspirator in the murder just days after the tragic double homicide.

6. Moses Kuria Announces New Political Party Gatundu

South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria seems to have found a new home after he was kicked out of the People ‘s Empowerment Party (PEP).

Following a fallout with the PEP’s leadership, Kuria remained adamant about joining his allies at UDA, instead sought to join another party.

Taking to his Facebook page on July 24, 2021, Kuria revealed that he had joined newly formed party, Chama Cha Kazi (CCK).

7. Teen arrested for killing his grandmother

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested by police in Makindu Sub-county for allegedly killing his grandmother aged 67 Saturday night.

The lifeless body of Milkah Mwendo was discovered by her husband Joseph Munguti Nthungu at 2.00pm in Usungu Village in Kiboko area.

According to the preliminary police report, the boy identified as Stephen Munguti Mutua allegedly admitted having entered the house and strangled the woman using a table cloth.

The boy who is a student at Nthia Secondary School is on suspension over a disciplinary case.

8. RIP: Kevin Omwenga’s brother found dead! Death strikes yet again in the Omwenga family.

The family mourns yet another son, Wycliffe Omwenga, the younger brother of millionaire car dealer Kevin Omwenga, was found dead in his home in Riruta on Wednesday July 21.

Wycliffe’s body was found in his bedroom and the house was locked from inside.

Police said they are looking for an unidentified woman who was seen leaving the house late on Tuesday evening.

He was yet to testify in his brother’s murder case as a key witness.

Many women will do just about anything, spend a huge amount of money and go to greater heights to achieve what they believe is beauty.

However, not many usually get what they wanted or even the results they expected even after spending a lot of money on it.

Well, the same can be told of a woman who recently came out to bash her salonist for selling her fake hair extensions.

According to the lady, identified as Lacy Price, the salonist sold her hair made from both horse hair and synthetic hair.

TYLA.com earlier reported that the salon where Price bought the hair from denied selling the lady fake hair, holding that it was authentic human hair, despite Price’s fury and revelation.

Actress Jacky Vike alias Awinja has opened up on an infidelity encounter in her past relationship.

On the Wicked Edition show, the mother of one revealed that she used to tell her friends that she cannot condone cheating, only to do it latter on.

“I don’t know about now, but before i have been cheated on and I went back. I was still young.

I used to suspect him, but because I had no proof, I couldn’t ask him.

One time, we had gone for a shoot alongside his friends. Then his phone rang, I saw ‘Mum’.
