Comedian Eric Omondi explains why he want paternity DNA test from Jackie Maribe’s son

Controversial Comedian Eric Omondi has finally revealed little known details about his past relationship with Jacque Maribe following claims that he was a dead-beat dad for their seven- year- old son.

In a detailed post shared on his social media platforms on Tuesday evening, the comedian disclosed that he has been demanding paternity test for 7 yrs so as to ascertain whether he is the real biological father of the boy but she refused.

“So we met at Radio Africa in 2012. I was working at Radio Jambo and Jacque was working at Kiss TV. So one Random night after a Radio Africa Staff Party and after a few bottles of whiskey and wine glasses Jacque and I happened. It was really a one night thing because she was dating KTN’s Sam Ogina at the time. We used protection!!! After two Months Jacque tells me she’s Pregnant!!! I immediately ask her how since we used Protection??? She then tells me “It doesn’t matter the mother always knows who the Father is and that I am the Father!!! During the entire Pregnancy nothing happened and we barely saw each other.”

In the recorded phone conversation, Jacque Maribe claimed that he(Eric Omondi) was a deadbeat dad and was not in touch with their child.

Maribe asked Eric to state where the baby lives to which he replied Kileleshwa. However, she corrected him that they had moved to Gigiri.

The former news anchor said that he had called to show people that they were on talking terms yet he did not take care of his child.

“When was the last time you paid school fees?” Jacque asked several times during the phone call, but Eric kept laughing.

Maribe had commented on a post insinuating he has not been taking care of his seven-year-old son.

“So, all said and done, and you can read in between the lines if you want, I’m hopelessly in love with motherhood. And as a single mum doing everything on her own, my goal is to raise a brilliant person, as he already is.”

Speaking to Word Is, Eric was asked whether he pays child support, to which he said it is public knowledge

“You have even done a story about that. Have you seen me posting anything on my Instagram? Call her and ask what she means,” he said.

“The person who has been in school is the one who is supposed to be interviewed. Why are you giving me an exam yet I have not been in school?

“I will never assume anything. I still do not know who she is talking about that is not supporting her child. I will only respond when she mentions my name.”

Eric added that the two had met on Sunday.

“If you read my stories with Jacque Maribe, you will realise they are positive ones. We even share our happy moments. I don’t know where this story is coming from. I have to call her to understand who she is talking about. She has not mentioned me in the posts.”

His altercation with Maribe resurfaced When he(Eric Omondi) posted an image with a seemingly pregnant Miss P, an upcoming musician.

“I met this Beautiful Woman 5 months ago in an event I was hosting. Whatever happened happened and I promised her I would take every Responsibility. Children are a blessing from God,” said Eric as he posed with Miss P holding her seemingly photo shopped baby bump.

Many were split on whether this was true or the latest in a long line of publicity stunts. In the end it turned out to be a stunt, and attracted furious reactions online.

The Big Tyme Entertainment CEO built his name in the comedy industry and even dubbed himself the ‘President of Comedy Africa’.

Despite his popularity, a section of netizens feels the comedian has, in the recent past, staged public stunts that have not gone down well with his fans.

Some have even named him a serial clout chaser seeking to remain relevant in the comedy industry.

His latest stunt being on Monday, November 1, when he posted a baby bump photoshoot with Miss P.

Taking to his Instagram, Eric said he met the artiste five months ago, got her pregnant, and promised to take responsibility, which caused an uproar among fans.
