Egypt’s President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi holds a phone call with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin

Egypt’s President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi held a phone call with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin Wednesday, 9th March 2022.

The two presidents exchanged views in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis whereas President Sisi asserted the importance of prioritizing dialogue.

The Egyptian chief of state also stressed backing diplomatic endeavors aimed at devising a political settlement to a crisis, which would, in turn, preserve international peace and security.

The two presidents equally discussed cooperation in developmental projects, affirming that Egypt and Russia have historic strong ties and that they have friendship relations on the official and popular scales.

President Sisi thanked President Putin for paving the way for the evacuation of Egyptian citizens from Ukraine.
