BREAKING: Moi Ex-Assistant Minister Hezron Manduku dies at Nairobi Hospital


The family of former Foreign Affairs Assistant Minister Dr Hezron Manduku has confirmed his passing on at Nairobi Hospital.

According to the family, Dr Manduku passed on Saturday at around 9 pm after a long illness.
He served as Nyaribari Masaba MP for two terms and was first elected to parliament in 1992 after edging out Prof Sam Ongeri.

The late was then appointed an assistant minister of Foreign Affairs. In 1997, he lost to Ongeri before recapturing the seat in 2002.

Dr Manduku is a medical doctor who has previously worked at Kenyatta National Hospital, Kakamega Hospital, Meru among others.
During his time in 1975, he established his private hospital in Kisii; Hema Hospital.

The 79-year-old Medical Surgeon has left behind a widow and children including Dr Robert Manduku who resigned from Kisii County Government to manage the family hospital.

He went through Nyaturago Primary School, Gesusu Intermediate School and later studied medicine at the People’s Friendship University of Russia between 1964 and 1969.
